It turns out that on the island of Flores we can see other mountains that have pyramid shapes such as the Ancient Egyptian State Building. The mountain is named Mount Inerie, located in Ngada Regency, or about fifteen kilometers to the south of Bajawa which is the city center of Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The shape of Mount Inerie really resembles a pyramid with pointed tips. Some places around Mount Inerie are used as a place to enjoy the beauty of an active volcano. Aimere and Penginapan Manulalu, touted as the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Inerie, because of the places that erupted from the mountain in 1970 it will be seen clearly like a sharp pyramid.

Not satisfied just enjoying the panorama from a distance, try to directly climb a mountain that has a height of 2,245 meters above sea level. Although quite high, to reach the peak of Mount Inerie only takes about three to five hours. This is because the village of Watumeze which was used as the starting point of the climb is already on a fairly high ground. Usually the climbers start climbing from early morning to arrive at the top when the sun begins to rise. This mountain is crowded in the dry season or around June to August.

Climbing Mount Inerie is not an easy matter, the track from the mountain of pride of the Ngada community is dominated by gravel and rock rocks to the top. This makes the road that is passed becomes slippery and difficult to step on. Not infrequently the climbers must crawl to be able to continue climbing. The slight vegetation of trees growing on the mountain will add to the challenge if climbing is done during the daytime, because the scorching sun will not hesitate to add to the climbing burden.

Arriving on the first ridge, the deep crater from Mount Inerie can already be seen. But the journey still has to continue to its highest point with rocky terrain and increasingly sharp slope. About 30 minutes climb from the last punggugan, climbers will arrive at the highest peak of Mount Inerie. The peak is marked by three poles shaped like a cross embedded in the ground. From this peak, it can also be seen clearly that Bena Customary Village is located right at the foot of this mountain and is also one of the attractions owned by Ngada Regency.
